Want to be a great MSK Physiotherapist?

We have exciting opportunities to recruit Musculoskeletal Static Physiotherapists, who would work with in our MSK Service in our physiotherapy teams within Portsmouth and Southampton cities.

These would be ideal posts for both newly qualified physiotherapists looking to start their career journey in MSK or for established Band 5 physiotherapists who wish to consolidate their MSK knowledge.

The Solent MSK service prides itself on developing individuals and this would be an opportunity for individuals who see their future in MSK. We have a proven record that our junior MSK staff become our seniors of the future

There are many opportunities for development with high standard teaching and clinical supervision regularly. You will be given time to consolidate skills and contribute to the service as it is actively involved in Research, Quality Improvement, Clinical Effectiveness and Service development.

With the introduction of First Contact Practitioner (FCP) it is an exciting time to be in MSK. We provide FCP for services for 9 local PCNs. Our vision is that all staff build and develop competencies to ensure our workforce is sustainable for the future of MSK Service delivery.

All our clinical teams are led by our Pathway Leads with robust teams of Clinical Specialists / Advanced Practitioners and Team Leaders supporting pathways. We also have specialties in Pelvic Health, Hands, Adolescent MSK, Persistent Pain, Rheumatology and Hydrotherapy. As a staff member you would have the opportunity to consolidate knowledge in all these areas of MSK either through rotations or apprenticeships. We have a varied case-load including primary care referrals, self-referrals, Trauma & Orthopaedics / post-operative and Rheumatology to give individuals a wide exposure to MSK patients.
