The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is the independent organisation responsible for providing national guidance and advice on promoting high quality health, public health and social care.

Our role is to improve outcomes for people using the NHS and other public health and social care services. We do this by:
  • Producing evidence-based guidance and advice for health, public health and social care practitioners.
  • Developing quality standards and performance metrics for those providing and commissioning health, public health and social care services;
  • Providing a range of information services for commissioners, practitioners and managers across the spectrum of health and social care.

Role title: Learning & Development Administrator

Location: Manchester

The Role

Reporting to the Apprenticeships & Training Coordinator the Learning and Development Administrator will be responsible for providing a high quality, comprehensive and customer focused administrative service for all staff within NICE and to external stakeholders.

You will rotate around organisational development, learning and development and health and wellbeing based on team requirements. You will also provide administrative support to the wider HR team, as and when required.

What you will bring to NICE

To be considered for this role, we are looking for:
  • A team player who can also work autonomously and take initiative when required
  • Previous experience of an administrative role
  • Commitment to continuous professional development

The post holder should be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Administrative qualification or experience to NVQ 3 or equivalent level
  • Proactive and professional approach to responding to staff queries
  • Prioritisation skills with ability to manage multiple strands of work with competing deadlines
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Approachable and accessible to colleagues and across the organisation

The Department

The Employee Engagement and Development team sits within Human Resources. The team specialise in learning and development, staff engagement, health and wellbeing and talent management.
