BCD Travel are looking for a Software Developer apprentice with a willingness to learn. You will not only receive training from your provider but internally from the Development team.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
  • You will be writing simple code for apps
  • You will be taught the principles of good user interface design
  • You will be applying industry standards (Corporate Travel) to manage code during build and release
  • You will use basic analysis models such as using cases and process maps
  • You will be involved in unit testing
  • You'll have a whole team to rely on and will be coached by our field experts as well as by our Travel Academy trainers.


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • You'll have an interest in software and application development
  • You'll have keyboarding skills and ideally have used Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • And it's important that you understand attention to detail andare analytical in your approach


Personal qualities

  • You'll want to learn new skills and will be keen to expand your knowledge of technology
  • You will be expected to self-study, so it's important that you have both motivation and commitment.
  • You'll be friendly and enjoy working with people -- your BCD colleagues
  • You'll fit right in if you have an interest in working for a company with strong values and community spirit.


Desired qualifications

5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language, maths & ICT).
