Band 6

22.5 hours per week, 12 month fixed term post

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced AHP/ exercise physiologist or nurse to join the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. We are a dynamic and progressive department actively engaged in national audit, accreditation and research.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation is delivered across 3 sites from Glenfield Hospital, Leicester General Hospital and the National Centre of Sports and Exercise Medicine (NCSEM) at Loughborough University as well as integrating with the Cardiac Rehabilitation team to deliver generic breathlessness rehabilitation programmes. We are looking to expand our services to other sites within Leicester City. This person will be required to work flexibly across all sites and therefore a clean driving licence is desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You should be able to work independently as well as being an excellent team player and actively engage in departmental and service development of new and innovative clinical services. It is desirable to have experience of clinical audit and participation in research.

Candidates should demonstrate a high level of clinical respiratory expertise; experience in exercise testing, cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation in long term conditions is desirable.
