DISPENSARY ASSISTANT APPRENTICE
PHARMACY
Salary: £161.25 per week: training rate
37.5 hours per week - 15 MONTHS FIXED TERM
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our Dispensary Assistants team as an apprentice in the Pharmacy Department at Barnsley Hospital
It is essential that you are literate and numerate with a minimum of four GCSEs or equivalent in English, Mathematics and two Sciences all at grade C or above.

Both our Inpatient and Outpatient dispensaries are fully automated
You must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and you must be able to work well under pressure and have good attention to detail.
Duties include labelling and dispensing for Outpatient, Inpatient and discharge prescriptions.
This will also involve the dispensing of unlicensed drugs and cytotoxic drugs, in accordance with the agreed safe systems of work practice.
As part of the apprenticeship you will work toward completing an NVQ 2 in Pharmacy Services.
This is a full time, fixed term contract for 15 months.
Hours are 37.5 hours per week, this will include weekends and bank holidays.
