Junior/Grad Electrical Design Draughtsman

Working for a small but very successful company whose high-tech products are used globally, you will join a small team as an Electrical Design Draughtsman. They are renowned for innovation, and you will be working with highly knowledgeable engineers in a very niche market who are willing to train and develop the next generation.

They are keen to speak to people from a variety of backgrounds, either strong industry experience and worked your way up from the shop floor, or you could hold a formal qualification with a few years' experience. Or a graduate that is passionate about Electrical design and keen to learn. They have a well-structured training plan to get you up to speed on their complex product range.

In this position you will create and maintain electrical drawings, support operations and service engineers on site. You will work closely with the mechanical draughtsperson in a close nit team and will have lots of support. Ideally you will have experience with SolidWorks a background of Electrical design and an understanding of electronics.

Other responsibilities may include:

Create and maintain electrical drawings, spec sheets and parts lists to a high standard of quality and in a timely manner
Provide special loom & assembly drawings upon request
Manage the content of the electrical database
Support product release process.
Perform design reviews of existing solutions.
Provide engineering support to external suppliers and other departments in the LK organization
Provide support to service engineers on-site
Experience and qualifications

Higher Engineering qualification (Degree/HNC/HND) or qualified by experience working your way up on the shop floor.
Strong background in electrical design
Experience of SolidWorks, AutoCad or equivalent package.
Good technical writing skills/understanding complex diagrams
Appreciation of electronic design
