Graduate Engineer required for our client, a rapidly expanding Energy company who have been operating for over 25 years. They have an exciting opportunity for a graduate engineer to join the Climate Change Engineering team.

You will be working with a wide range of industrial clients across the UK; helping them to reduce their carbon emissions and ultimately, achieve net zero. You will have a strong interest in manufacturing processes and the associated energy consumption and efficiency of those processes.

The successful candidate will receive training on energy pricing, compliance, legislation, energy efficient technologies, renewable generation and more, all whilst having the opportunity to work with high profile companies and understand their manufacturing processes.

Graduate Engineer Position Overview

Assisting with the collection of energy & production data and the generation of reports necessary to monitor performance against specific energy reduction targets.
Assisting with the assessment of manufacturing processes and energy use that may be entitled to reduce energy taxes.
Helping with the Compilation and submission of application documentation to secure energy tax reduction
Supporting the team with energy audits to quantify energy use and CO2 emissions and to identify opportunities for reduction.
Assisting sites with initial planning and ongoing management of structured programs to reduce energy/CO2 in order to achieve net zero.
Assist with design/project work to identify most energy efficient solutions to plant replacement and/or improvements.
Other project work - this is a dynamic role in a fast-developing industry.

Graduate Engineer Position Requirements

Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
A strong interest in energy efficiency, climate change and Net Zero.
A strong interest in manufacturing processes.
Excellent communication, analytical and numerical skills.
Proficient user of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
Full UK driving licence and own transport.

Graduate Engineer Position Remuneration

GBP19,000 per annum
28 days holiday, increases year on year with service
Extra benefits to choose from include 3 extra days holiday, GBP500 vouchers, or extra 2% pension contribution
Home working available, but regular travel throughout the UK required
