Apprentice Heating Engineer required for our client, a weel established company with strong experience in the Renewable Energy Sector.

The position will cover Hampshire and the surrounding counties. Ideally, the apprentice will be based in the Worthing area as the Heating Engineer is based in Goring-by-Sea and will be providing transport to/from jobs.

Shadowing the Heating Engineer during troubleshooting, installations, repairs and maintenance of residential and commercial plumbing mechanisms and specifically Air Source/Ground Source heat pumps and Solar Thermal systems.

There is increasing demand for renewable energy solutions and this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a field that is growing exponentially!

Apprentice Heating Engineer Position Overview

Carry out site surveys and provide technical input into quotations
Complete all necessary steps in the installation, maintenance, repair and servicing of Air Source/Ground Source Heat Pumps and Solar Thermal systems
Provide servicing of existing installations
Troubleshoot systems
Adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety
Ensure proper daily documentation of activities
Ensure complete customer satisfaction from start to finished project

Apprentice Heating Engineer Position Requirements

Presentable and friendly demeanour
Good communication skills
Able to work well with others
Self-motivated and willing to learn
Basic computer knowledge

Apprentice Heating Engineer Position Remuneration

Competitive salary to be negotiated depending on experience, payable in equal monthly instalments
Training: we will work alongside the candidate's chosen college apprenticeship course.
Holiday: 20 days in addition to paid holiday on all statutory and other public holidays
Pension: The company uses the National Employment Savings Trust (NEST) for pension provision and the successful candidate will be enrolled from the start of employment.
Hours: The company's normal hours of work are from 8.30 until 17.00, Monday to Friday, with a 30 minutes unpaid break for lunch. However some flexibility is required.
