Leading a team of recruiters is often seen as a tough role, but can be incredibly rewarding as you see each member of your team grow and develop, alongside the increasing impact they have on their own candidates careers.

This will be even more evident when your whole team is geared towards supporting young people looking to kickstart their careers through the Apprenticeship system.

Let me tell you a little about this market, then I'll circle back to the role itself.
This role will be working for a Training Provider within Further Education market, who sell and deliver on Apprenticeship programmes. Right now, the market is possibly in the best situation it has been in for circa 10 years. Although impacted by covid initially, the market as a whole. Has seen huge amounts of investment and funding many of which from the Government (it is predominantly a Government Funded market). So schemes like the Apprenticeship incentives, Kickstart, Restart, the Traineeship initiative - all of which have been discussed on TV and in Parliament. All of these are facilitated through the Further Education system, and most of which is delivered through independent training providers.

Specifically on Apprenticeships, employer across the UK are seeing Apprenticeships as a hugely successful way to recruit new talent into the business, but also a way to train and upskill the existing workforce.
For young people, it is also a beneficial alternative to the university route - one which more and more are choosing as their early career pathways.

In short, the market is in a great place, and very lucrative.

Back to the role ??? you will be leading a team of 23 people. This will be built up of recruiters, enrolment, and admin staff. Some of which will be experienced professionals, other juniors and apprentices themselves.
You will be at the forefront of recruitment across the whole company. The company sells and then delivers the training for Apprenticeships across a range of industries - Technical & IT, Automotive, Health Care, and Business Services.

Much like a recruitment process, Client has vacancy > Training providers (recruiter) fills vacancy with junior candidate > Training provider continue to deliver the training for Apprenticeship over 12-24 months.

This is a strategic level role, and we are looking for some to LEAD this team and support it's growth.
You will have budget responsibility, have autonomy to bring in fresh ideas, new ways of working, candidate attraction, screening process etc and generally responsible for the overall teams performance.
You must be someone who can think and lead with the long term in mind. We need you to be operate 6-12 months ahead - especially as we all know how candidate short any market is, this one is no different.

Experience working in Further Education is great but by no means essential. What is essential, is that you a proven recruitment leader (focus on leader, not manager). We want a people person, someone who can inspire, and get the best out of those around them.

We can look at a lucrative overall package of circa GBP70k, including GBP45-55 Salary, commission circa GBP20k and option of company car if needed.
A key point is that ideally this will be mainly office based in Nottingham. Some concession can be made, 4 days a week office for example. You've got a large team of varying abilities that will continue to grow. Ideally you'll lead from the front
