A specialist manufacturer based in St Ives is seeking a Business Administrator Apprentice offering training and learning Advanced Level 3. Reporting and assisting to the Senior Sales Coordinator, you will liaise with customers worldwide in building and developing customer relationships. You will work within a small team and carry out day-to-day sales administration and work closely with businesses customers and enquiries.
Supporting a highly effective sales team, you will learn how the manufacturing industry works, understand supply and demand and how this effects the business and in turn their customers. The company will support your journey with learning opportunities to complete your apprenticeship to develop and progress your career.
Working as part of the team with close mentoring, support and training and learn how to:
* Quote customers and answer their questions
* Place orders and progress them keeping customers up to date
* Manage emails in the sales and your own personal email inbox
* Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
* Keep the system updated with new or amended information
* Carry out tasks to assist the senior sales coordinator
* Attend meetings where required and take responsibility for your actions
* Join one of the intercompany improvement groups and actively contribute to the group's objective
* Lead on your own project
* Understand our ISO9001 quality system and how that impacts on your role
* Spend time working in other departments to broaden your skills and knowledge of what the business does
Key responsibilities include:
* Responding to customer enquiries (via phone or email) - communicating with the sales team or Engineering where appropriate, sourcing information from our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system or passing messages on Providing quotes for customers - based on customer requirements, and from information provided by the sales or engineering teams
* Keeping customers updated regarding order progress and support management
* Communicate with production and various departments to progress customers' orders
* Assisting and attend marketing meetings or promotion events when required
* Join one of the intercompany improvement groups and actively contribute
Sales Administration:
* Data entry and processing for new quotes and orders on the ERP database
* Check documentation and queries raised
* Support Management for warranties, returns and complaints understand expectations
* Check Marketing Automation (AI) website and reassign leads to sales engineer
Improvement Projects:
* Participating in sales and marketing projects, carrying out specific tasks assigned by the manager
Project Management:
* Identify and lead on an improvement project.
