We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice to join our globally based Book Publishing Services team, sitting at the heart of the Operations at Taylor & Francis. You will be part of our Procurement & Vendor Management team, who work with a range of internal and external stakeholders playing a critical role in maintaining stock levels and availability of our exclusive book titles across the globe and supports the organisation in meeting key business deliverables.

Reporting into the Head of Procurement & Vendor Management, you will play an integral role in supporting inventory management globally through supply and demand planning, and sourcing and buying the right quality products for the right price and managing vendors to ensure products are delivered on time and in the right place.

During the course of this 18-month Apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to get stuck in, identifying improvement opportunities in processes and generating solutions where possible, getting to grips with how the Book Publishing Services team operates in one of the world's leading Academic Publishers.

What will this role involve?

Procurement:

* Providing quotations for print, lead time, distribution, delivery, and related services

* Distribution of content, purchase orders, and key information to third-party suppliers

* Assessing order requirements, selecting suitable supply method, processing purchase orders

* Effective supplier management at purchase order level, ensuring accurate costing, quality, quantity, and lead time

Vendor Management:

* Building and supporting successful working relationships with external vendors: printers, distribution centres, shippers, channel sales vendors

* Effective management of systems data, collating performance statistics and producing reports on vendor performance

* Producing agendas and minutes for, and participating in, weekly vendor meetings.

* Visiting suppliers and supporting the collation of audit documentation.

Demand Planning:

* Learning about and running regular and bespoke reports

* Analysing large data sets to support printing decisions

* Helping maintain stock levels and availability of books across the globe

* Supporting the maintenance of our relationships with third party publishers

You will work towards gaining:

* Level 3 Apprenticeship as a Procurement and supply assistant (standard)

* You will need to complete an End Point Assessment to successfully pass your apprenticeship
