The projects that we work on here at Telent, how they work and what the requirements are
To familiarise yourself with project work breakdown structure and plan a schedule which is capable of delivering the project objectives.
To support the development of schedules at different stages of the lifecycle,
How to analyse and document business process flows
All about project performance measurement and be able to run technical reporting.
From sitting in on planning topic discussions and meetings.
To ensure that the project team is kept regularly updated and familiar with programme schedule.
How to analyse, monitor and identify schedule related risks and support mitigation measures.
How to present schedules to our clients, whilst providing concise and clear commentary on all aspects of the programme logic
To actively support a culture focused on safety and quality in your daily activities.
How to coordinate a planning process.
How to analyse and provide programme updates, whilst keeping internal tracking and dashboard reporting up to date.
To work with the Project Management Office to provide cost control updates and reporting of the financial performance through the telent used finance systems (Oracle)
You will working with the Project Management Office and the Project Management team to review project performance throughout the project life cycle.
Learn how to produce schedules for the project manager, using industry standard planning tools
To develop your talent and integrate into the business with the help of an assigned mentor.
To communicate well with all levels of stakeholders. Using different methods of communication and learn how to report and record the information.
To work as part of a team or work alone
The requirements of the different customers and contracts and how to fulfill those needs
To act as a Telent ambassador
How to own problems and take the responsibility of solving them
Be proactive in supporting Telent and recognising when colleagues need helpThe Specifics:

The apprenticeship is 3 years long
You will be mentored by colleagues, supervisors and managers throughout the scheme
You will work both from the Telent office in Central London on Carburton Street and remotely from home
On completion of the scheme you will have a BTEC Level 3 as a Project Controls Technician
On completion of the scheme you will have the opportunity to integrate into the full-time workforce
The apprenticeship is a managed scheme with a mix between apprenticeship course work, on site working and vendor exams (block release)
You will be required to travel to other Telent sites will be required within this apprenticeship, where you can claim back the costs using the Expense Portal
For this apprenticeship you will work for telent whilst attending online learning at college. You may have to attend college to sit exams or sit end point assessments. Most college studies will be carried out virtually.

To qualify to join telent as an apprentice you must:

Have a minimum of 5 GCSEs grades 9 - 4 (A* - C) specifically in Maths, English and Science or an IT related subject
A full UK Driving licence is a benefit but not a requirement for this apprenticeship
Basic IT skills, using Microsoft Office & Excel
Be able to demonstrate good attention to detail
Highly organised
Ability to work within a team and on your own initiative
Able to pass pre-employment clearanceAdditional Info:

The basic knowledge of windows operating systems
