Information Communication Technician Apprentice - The Role:
The role will be part of our ICT Service Delivery Team providing customer focused ICT support for a critical emergency service. You will be providing first line ICT-technical support, handling requests, resolving issues and providing advice.
Information Communication Technician Apprentice - Key Responsibilities:
- Providing technical support and guidance, assisting with software and hardware problems
- Setting up new computers for staff, customers and learners
- Dealing with user accounts, passwords and access to systems
- Maintaining ICT equipment, mobile devices and audio/visual devices
- Working on ICT projects and deploying new software, services and equipment
- Data and voice communications, networking and ICT security
Information Communication Technician Apprentice - You:
It is an ideal opportunity to gain experience in a busy IT Service Desk arena.
Whilst undertaking this role you would also be working towards a Level 3 Information Communication Technician Apprenticeship, therefore would be expected to complete all aspects of this apprenticeship. The training delivered will be by blended approach which will involve a residential and online classroom learning. Please note you will be expected to travel to the training provider, Firebrand, to undertake the training requirements of the apprenticeship.
You must have at least 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Grades A - C, or 4 or above, in English and Maths.
The normal working week is 37 hours, usually worked Monday to Friday, however you may occasionally need to work beyond normal office hours, evenings and weekends as required.
