Graduate Customer Service Advisor
to GBP22,500 + bonus + benefits
(Mon-Fri 8am to 4.30pm)
Our client is a household name in the rapidly expanding distribution sector and demonstrates a rich heritage spanning more than 80 years of providing solutions and products to engineers throughout the world. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking an articulate and enthusiastic Graduate Customer Service Advisor to complement their established and professional team based in their Southampton retail location.
This varied and interesting Graduate Customer Service Advisor role is split between two core elements - 80% business customer services and support and 20% associated administration - working on a Monday to Friday basis (no weekend or Bank Holiday working required) and the successful candidate will assist with customer needs and requirements and maximise sales opportunities using a face to face proactive approach, utilising the display and merchandising skills to drive add-on sales and provide all round advice and recommendations for products and services.
You will also undertake product search queries and identify component stock numbers from the supplier database using catalogue, website and technical data sources as appropriate, and will both develop new and maintain existing valuable customer relationships through the effective resolution of customer issues and technical questions as they may arise.
You will also process customer transactions efficiently and accurately together with undertaking associated warehouse and stock management activities within agreed service levels, and will hold a full clean UK driving licence as you may be required to occasionally visit customer sites in order to replenish their store inventory as required.
As part of the branch team, you will engage in Continuous Improvement activities and share best practices with colleagues throughout the business, together with having a strong focus on supporting the Field Sales Team and other key support departments within the business to support the larger world class sales teams.
To be considered for this varied and challenging Graduate Customer Service Advisor role, it is envisaged that you will demonstrate previous experience gained within a customer facing support, customer service, or sales environment with excellent communication skills at all levels and a high level of both academic achievement and levels of computer literacy
You will be skilled in working under pressure in a customer facing environment and committed to providing the highest standards of service and support at all times, skilfully resolving any issues with customer's demands and maximising sales opportunities at all times.
