We're currently looking for an Accounts Apprentice to join us on an 18 month fixed term apprenticeship.

The Role

As an Accounts Apprentice, will assist the Finance Team with all aspects of financial administration and business controls, whilst developing and learning from the team.

Specifically, you will learn to:

- Action purchase, subcontract and sales ledger transaction entries, reconciliations, chase debts and deal with related queries
- Maintain supplier and sub-contractor information
- Enter sales completion statements and ensure funds are received
- Ad hoc and weekly non-supplier payment runs
- Process general ledger reconciliation and processing month end journals
- Reconcile asset acquisitions and disposals
- Process utility bills for plots, sites and Head Office
- Action petty cash and credit card reconciliation and posting to general ledger
- Maintain budgets and update reports
- Maintain documentation of insurance, supplier contracts and standing orders

About You

Although no experience is necessary, to join us as an Accounts Apprentice, you will need:

- Confidence in using computers
- A good level of arithmetic
- A good telephone manner
- To be organised with the ability to work on your own initiative

You will also be willing to work flexibly, undertake training, and perform additional duties to meet the demands of this role.
