Protocol Education are recruiting for psychology graduates to work as teaching assistants and behaviour support assistants in schools across Sunderland and the surrounding areas of South Tyneside and County Durham. We have roles to begin ASAP.
As part of your role you will provide both academic and pastoral support to children aged 11-16. You may at times be asked to supervise classes in the absence of the teacher. You will help children with SEMH (Social, emotional and mental health) issues to manage the emotions and behaviour.
Successful candidates will
• Have a patient and understanding approach
• Confident in working with children who may at times display challenging behaviour
• Be flexible and dynamic in your approach to work - no 2 days are ever the same when you work in education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
