An exciting opportunity to join the Commercial and Business Development Team.

The Team

The Commercial and Business Team is responsible for the promotion, sales and bookings for Professional & Short Courses, and for Apprenticeships. You will be part of a busy team, supporting sales targets and growth and delivering excellent service to customers, via telephone, online and face to face.

You will have a passion for helping others develop and learn and you may already have experience of working in education or events and sales.

The Role

Apprenticeships are a key priority both for our College and as part of the national agenda. The college is committed to the growth of its Apprenticeship provision, including recruitment to Higher Level Apprenticeships, as well as promoting Traineeships as a route to Apprenticeships.

With experience of developing effective working relationships both internally and externally, you will join the Commercial and Business Development Team to help drive Apprenticeship Recruitment. You will liaise with employers and applicants to match suitable applicants to employers, focusing on maximizing the number of apprentice applicants who are successfully recruited and working closely with employers to manage their vacancies. You will provide coordination of information on employer vacancies and apprentice applicants to inform achievement against target and will support the Business Development Team.

The Benefits

Generous holiday entitlement of 28 days per annum (pro rata for part time) increasing by one day per annum up to 35 days, plus statutory (eight) days and up to six discretionary days per annum.

All business support staff have the option to join the Local Government Pension Scheme.
