Mech Tech Professionals is actively recruiting for a Graduate Design Engineer for our world-class chemical cleaning client based in Kent. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Main responsibilities and duties:

* Preparing proposals for our services to clients.

* Engineering design including flow calculations, piping design and stress analysis.

* Preparing method statements and risk assessments.

* Planning and specifying equipment requirements for projects.

* Arranging shipping and transportation of equipment.

* Supervising our projects on site ensuring that all aspects of the site operation run smoothly.

* On site preparation and maintenance of records of work performed.

* Undertaking field measurements and chemical analysis to determine effectiveness of the cleaning process.

* Maintain documentation and follow our clients working procedures to ensure that the company's quality, health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

* Prepare final reports to be provided to the final client detailing the work undertaken.

* Communicating and coordinating with other staff from other companies within the group

Design Engineer requirements:

* Ideally be a graduate in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or experience in a similar role in the power or petrochemical industry.

* Be an excellent communicator.

* Be IT literate, with experience in using AutoCad and Microsoft Office recommended.

* Ideally have Piping design and stress analysis experience including the use of Caesar 2 software.

* Have basic chemistry knowledge and the use of laboratory equipment for routine analysis.

* Be willing to travel for UK and International meetings and site implementation of our projects for periods from 1 day up to 6 weeks with some possible night shifts.

* Have experience of working in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment.

* Work in a safe, efficient and professional manner.

* Have a hands-on approach

* Have permission to live and work within the UK

* Full Driving Licence


* Competitive salary - dependent on experience, skills and qualifications and will be discussed during interview process
