If you have a natural way with people and are a good listener, with a passion for helping some of the most vulnerable people with their communication needs, then join the team as a part-time Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) at Badby Park in Daventry.

Working 22.5 hours over 3 days a week, you will work alongside the clinical teams to care for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries.

With neurological experience from the NHS or private sector, you will conduct assessments and use clinical reasoning skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices to determine appropriate treatment plans.

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for devising, developing and delivering individualised rehabilitation and/or therapy plans to help service users build a brighter future. You will be required to provide support, guidance and training to therapy and care assistants.

Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will use reflective practices and established outcome measures to evaluate treatments to achieve optimal outcomes. You will produce accurate and concise written reports to reinforce your decision making.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • Relevant Speech and Language Therapy degree
  • Registered member of the HCPC
  • Level B RCSLT dysphagia competency would be desirable (formal training and on-site supervision will be provided)
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice
  • Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks and regulatory body inspection processes and documentation
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
