The purpose of the role is to minimise both overstock and out of stock occurrences whilst achieving our stock availability targets. You will analyse the supply and demand and forecast for a selected category of products. You will also support us by monitoring our stock position as our products pass through their product life-cycle.
An Ecommerce retailer based in Lancashire. The business has a number of different brands which it sells in the UK and Internally such as Europe & USA. Due to strong trade they are now looking to add to their Buying & Merchandising team
- Forecasting - working to produce a rolling forecast for a popular range of products. Ensure that stock and sales forecasts are updated weekly supporting the business to maximise sales and margin.
- Efficiently identify and report stock risks and excess to optimise our availability and stock position.
- Evaluate and report on supplier performance to ensure performance remains efficient and within agreed parameters.
- To improve our stock position by optimising sales and margin as products pass through their life cycle. Communicating stock updates to the wider business and liaising with the team to highlight and move clearance items.
- To take on any other responsibilities or tasks that are commensurate with the salary of the post and are within the employee's range of skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed.
