What will the apprentice be doing?
The technical accounting team help clients deal with more complicated transactions and accounting, such as business acquisitions and disposals, that they don't see on a day to day basis. Main duties include:
Performing group consolidations
Calculating and presenting disclosures for financial statements
Researching technical queries under both UK GAAP and IFRS to help find solutions to client problems / queries
Retaining responsibility for own work
Managing multiple tasks and having an awareness of deadlines
Preparation of statutory accounts from client records
Completion of corporation tax returns including ixbrl tagging of submissions
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Support will be provided towards completion of the ACA qualification over a period of 3 years and through a Level 7 Apprenticeship. Training is completed via Kaplan or First Intuition and will be classroom based.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once the ACA qualification is successfully completed, and all relevant skills and experience met, trainees will move have the opportunity to progress to a Technical Advisor and beyond.
