We have an immediate opening for an Applications Developer Apprentice to provide support to our existing customers and the rest of the team here at Qi.
The ideal candidate has a strong interest in computer programming and has the appetite to learn new skills to support their role as a team member here at Qi Ltd.

IT qualification [level 3] with an element of coding or an A level in Computing or maths (or equivalent).
5 GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) including maths and English.

The main languages you will learn will be:
- Visual Basic, SQL, C/AL and AL
All Applicants will start their time with Qi:
- Learning in specific areas (Microsoft ERP, Office 365 apps)
- Providing telephone and remote access support to our customers on a variety of applications and issues
- Balancing workday between multiple projects and responding promptly to customers and the rest of your team
- Reporting issues and concerns immediately to your line manager
As your knowledge develops and your areas of expertise become clearer:
- Code and test programming for Microsoft and Access
- Migration projects for customers on legacy accounting and manufacturing software to a Microsoft ERP (planning, preparation and data conversion)
- Troubleshooting system bugs and issues

- Confidence, or will build confidence in communicating with our customers to provide an excellent customer service experience
- Effective communications skills are essential as you will, following training, be in regular contact with our customers and other members of the team
- Skills with the Windows operating system and associated hardware

- Commitment to continuing education in computer applications (training at employer's expense)
