The commitment of our 17,100 staff is key to our success. We are one of the largest local employers and we aim to develop and support all our staff so they are able to deliver high quality, safe and efficient care. The 2018 NHS staff survey results show that we have one of the most engaged and motivated workforces in the NHS. We know this has a positive impact on the care provided to our patients.

Newly Qualified Paediatric Staff Nurse - Qualifying and Obtaining NMC PIN by April 2022.

Evelina London Children's Hospital is at the heart of a network of children's health services across South East England, and the first children's hospital to be rated 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission. We provide a comprehensive range of children's healthcare services with expanding services and we now have opportunities across all areas for Newly Qualified Band 5 Nurses.

Mountain floor consists of Paediatric General and Specialist Medicine incorporating a High Dependency Unit.

Savannah floor consists of 3 specialist tertiary services. Children are cared for in their own dedicated areas - Paediatric general surgery, Paediatric Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgery and Paediatric Neurology & Inherited Metabolic Diseases.

Beach floor is split into three key areas, Nephro-Urology, an Integrated Dialysis Unit and Short Stay Surgery area.

Newly opened Sky floor now houses our Paediatric Cardiology ward alongside an extension to our critical care services.

Ambulatory care includes Snow Fox Day Case Unit and Ocean - our busy outpatient's area where most children have their first experience of a hospital.

We offer a highly popular bespoke two year rotation programme for newly registered nurses, which will encompass the above specialities and may also include PICU, NICU, Emergency Department, Community, Theatres and Research.

Applicants must be highly motivated with excellent communication skills that enjoy working in an energetic, challenging and at times demanding environment. We are privileged to have highly skilled and knowledgeable Clinical Educators in all specialities who will support and develop you every step of the way.

We actively promote research, evidence based practice, clinical governance and staff development; we are committed to building on your existing skills and knowledge and welcome the opportunity to learn from you.
In return we can offer you a wide range of experience and development opportunities, working as part of our teams who are changing the lives of children and families in the stunning environment of the Evelina.

If you have what it takes to be an amazing Evelina Nurse, we want you to join us.
