Advanced Clinical Practitioner Needed. Are you working at an advanced level assessing and treating all ages of patients with undifferentiated conditions in General Practice?

Would you like some flexibility in your work life?

Have you thought of expanding your experience in general practice?

If you answered yes to these then you might enjoy the variety of work that OOH offers. What we do: In GP OOH we assess and treat patients who require urgent unscheduled intervention suitable for treatment by general practice clinicians when the GP surgeries are closed. Our referrals come from either 111, via a dedicated health care professional line used by paramedics and district nursing teams or from the AED or MIU.

We currently offer a telephone consultation first system to offer high quality remote patient management via telephone and video technology where appropriate, but if a patient needs a face to face review or examination then this is offered at a number of our bases, as well as via home visits where appropriate.

We provide this high quality care via a skill mix of GP's and advanced nurse and paramedic practitioners supported by an experienced operational team of shift co-ordinators, assistants, receptionists and drivers. Although you are expected to work independently, naturally there are always colleagues that you can call upon to discuss cases. We have access to basic day time GP notes via GP connect, summary care record, special notes and child protection information sharing. Both the lead nurse and medical lead work in a clinical capacity as well as a managerial capacity and are approachable and supportive.

We offer regular documentation and prescribing audits which are helpful to gain meaningful feedback that can be used for life-long learning and re-validation purposes. There is the opportunity to partake in paid group and individual clinical supervision and clinical meetings. Case discussion and reflection on experience is encouraged. What we offer Shifts can be offered on a contracted basis or a bank basis. You received a quarterly holiday entitlement on all bank shifts. Shifts start at just 4hours in length, so it is feasible to do a little extra alongside your day job or much more if you wish. We offer a supportive and clear induction process. What we will need from you: •Be an autonomous Nurse Practitioner with a patient assessment qualification and recent work
experience within a Primary/Urgent Care environment
•Hold an independent prescribing qualification
•Hold an NMC Pin
•Be able to see, treat and discharge patients of all ages with unscheduled presentations About Practice Plus Group Practice Plus Group is passionate about great healthcare.
