You can find out more about our vision and values from our videos and website, which you can access via this page.

Previous applicants need not apply.

Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is offering an exciting opportunity to join an Apprenticeship Scheme. This provides a role which is an initial 18-24 month training programme enabling the development of knowledge, skills and the achievement of a nationally recognised qualification. The position will work across all Trust sites: Pinderfields Hospital, Pontefract Hospital and Dewsbury and District Hospital.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated outgoing person. The successful applicant would need to demonstrate great communication, data entry and teamwork skills plus confidence and professionalism using the phone. All these skills will also be developed further as part of the apprenticeship programme. Subject to successful achievement of the apprenticeship, the successful applicant will have the skills and knowledge required to apply for the available vacant substantive position.

The apprenticeship position attracts an initial salary of £14,938,50. All course fees will be paid for by the Trust. The apprentice will achieve a level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration.

Initially this is a fixed term contract for 18-24 months until the apprenticeship is successfully completed, with set milestones to be met. Only on successful achievement of the Apprenticeship and adherence to all Trust policies and procedures including Mid Yorkshire Values & Behaviours, a permanent, substantive vacancy will be available to move into for the right person.

Applicants must be eligible and willing to undertake a Level 3 Apprenticeship and hold GCSE grade 4-9 in English Language and Maths or equivalent qualifications.

There is an eligibility criteria for government funded apprenticeships which requires the applicant to be aged 16+, be a resident in the UK/EU for the last three years. Applicants cannot have achieved a qualification at level 3 or above in the same pathway as this will exempt them from being able to undertake the apprenticeship.
