Job Title - Graduate Efficiency Engineer

Location - Cannock with travel across the Midlands

Hours - Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Graduate Programme

This will be a 2-year programme starting in September 2022, which will provide you with valuable exposure and insight into Veolia services and strategic Veolia projects.

As part of the Graduate Development Programme, you will go through a structured development programme, undertaking leadership, management, soft skills and safety modules with your graduate cohort.

The role will be predominantly home based but with access to site offices or Kingswood main office in Cannock.

What will you be doing?

Targeting new Energy Technologies and Fuels for internal and external use.
Supporting the Management in driving operational efficiencies across our current contract base which could be on our Total Waste Management (TWM) Sites, Wastewater Treatment Plants and Energy Facilities.
As part of driving operational efficiencies, you will be required to run and deliver separate projects to support this element.
Supporting Operations and the wider Veolia team in bidding for new business and supporting in the whole bid process from start to finish.
Presenting findings to key internal stakeholders whilst presenting opportunities to external clients aimed at achieving contract growth.
Supporting our Asset Management (AM) team and being a link between operations and AM to support maintenance improvements across our current contract base.
As part of the maintenance improvements, we will look for the successful candidate to drive overall improvements to our maintenance strategy as we look for a revamped model moving forward. This will be following a review of internal and external strategies including VOOM (Veolia Optimised Operations Maintenance) which is delivered at our Scottish sites.
Supporting contracts across Lincoln & Norfolk, West Midlands, East Midlands, Northampton & Cambridge plus South Wales.

What are we looking for?

Degree level qualification preferred in Energy Engineering, however, other Engineering degree subjects would be suitable (a minimum of 2:1 to be achieved by Sept 2022)
Enthusiastic person with excellent communication skills
Keen on driving positive environmental impacts in our drive for Carbon reduction with a good understanding on Carbon
An engineering background
Self-motivated whilst accomplished to work individually or within teams
Good IT skills including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Beneficial but not essential for experience with the Google Suite (Docs, Sheets & Slides)
