Vacancy Description:

Your role as Junior IT Technician is to be responsible for dealing and handling with 1st line support across the business and also managing our Dialler system and ensuring that all data sources are worked correctly by efficient delegation of data facilitation and data quality checks.

Responsibilities:

IT Support

  • Provide 1st Line IT support across the business, managing and resolving all low-level issues/queries.
  • Reporting via email and issues or queries that are not resolved at 1st line and ensuring they are passed to 2nd and 3rd line, also ensuring that a resolution is met on each query.
  • Quality checking data inputted/checked by Business Support Agents and provide feedback in a timely and prompt manner.

Data Management

  • Manage and provide feedback to Data Companies.
  • Manage Data providers.
  • Oversee and take responsibility for the data journey and the integrity of data within the company.

There will also be some general tasks around data and dialler management systems, however, the job is a 1st Line support role working across business functions.

  • MS Office 365
  • The ability to balance priorities and take responsibility for the completion of a task
  • To be able to work independently and show initiative

  • To be able to work independently and show initiative in providing an ICT Support Service covering hardware, software and peripherals
  • Self-motivated, with a strong commitment to teamwork and service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and personalities
  • A common-sense approach and enthusiasm to learn.
  • The capacity to remain calm and to cope under pressure.
  • Troubleshooting skills, backed by a clear, analytical approach to problem-solving.

Entry requirements:

You need to have 5 GCSEs:

  • Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades D or above
  • 3x GCSE’s grade A-C in any other subject

You must not already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level, or higher level than this apprenticeship.

Working week:

5 days per week,
Monday – Friday,
40hrs per week [all details will be confirmed with the employer]

Salary:

You will be paid £166.32 - £320.76 per week whilst in your apprenticeship; if you successfully complete your apprenticeship, you will be offered a competitive salary as a First Line Engineer.

Future prospects:
