Job Description:

The role is primarily to provide administrative support to our busy sales team and will involve developing, implementing and improving administrative services. Day to day you will be interacting with Clients through a variety of mediums, face to face, over the phone & via digital platforms with a focus on adding value to their interaction & experience with our company during the course of buying or selling their property. The successful candidate should have a confident ‘can do’ attitude and will develop a highly transferable set of knowledge & skills over the course of the apprenticeship.

 Our Business Administration apprentice will be expected to act efficiently and with integrity; showing a positive approach to work and willingness to learn. Applicants should demonstrate strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopt a proactive approach to developing skills. The successful candidate is also expected to show initiative, managing priorities, time, problem-solving skills, and approach their role with flexibility and with the good of the Company in mind.

The position will involve

  • Supporting a busy sales team and lettings team where needed
  • Making and receiving telephone calls/sending and receiving emails
  • Liaising with buyers – qualifying, booking viewings
  • Liaising with sellers – arranging viewings, providing feedback to sellers on previous viewings
  • General administration – filing and archiving paperwork
  • Diary management – managing the valuers diaries effectively
  • Keeping levels of customer service to a high standard, going the extra mile where necessary
  • Communicating with buyers, sellers, solicitors and mortgage arrangers
  • Updating and maintaining the client database
  • Supporting with social media marketing
  • Assist with Anti-Money Laundering procedures, checking, copying ID and verifying identity documents


Applicants should be computer literate & confident with letter writing, email constructions, and their ability to record data accurately, competent user of MS Office, Outlook and willing to undertake training in our in-house software system. be confident in client interactions, demonstrating good communication skills, answering questions & resolving enquiries representing the Company in a professional way however, be comfortable to seek advice of more experienced team members when appropriate. Complete tasks to a high standard and with integrity, take responsibility for organising & implementing admin tasks, positively managing the expectations of colleagues & peers.

You will be working out of our brand-new office situated in the heart of Auckley, office hours are Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm

Apprenticeship standards L3 Business Administrator

Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices chosen career route, each standard has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English.

Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Babcock regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role.

Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.
