How you can expect to spend your day:
Will have access to the Bloomberg terminal to assist research.
Areas of analysis will include:
Market analysis - tracking latest developments in key strategic market variables - energy prices, commodity prices, government policy
Competitor analysis - researching public and private market activity to identify the movements of competitors in relevant markets
Opportunity analysis - qualitative and quantitative analysis on potential areas of business growth including new / augmented business models and territories
Output will consist of reports and models for senior management.
The ideal intern's personality and qualifications:
Inquisitive, intelligent and able to communicate findings in robust output that will be subject to challenge. Interested in taking the lead in projects and able to work independently.
Able to work independently and work with complex information to be able to produce real insight relevant to the business.
Qualifications in financial / quantitative analysis is essential and languages (European, Chinese) are useful but not essential.
An interest in the realities of Climate Change and the energy transition will be useful to the candidate.
