What will the apprentice be doing?
As a Degree Apprentice, you will work as a Cyber Security Engineer. This a technical role within in our Enterprise and Cyber Security team here at Fujitsu, for example working in our Advanced Threat Centre (ATC).
The ATC is the Fujitsu advanced Security Operations Centre (SOC) where we use cutting edge security tools to help keep Fujitsu and our clients secure.
You will have the exciting opportunity to join an organisation that is passionate about emerging technologies, Cyber Security, and its people. You will be supported throughout the Apprenticeship scheme and will receive structured training and development to build the skills that are needed within Cyber Security.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The Fujitsu Degree Apprenticeship is a 4-year scheme, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst studying towards your BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions Degree at the Manchester Metropolitan University.
The degree will be delivered through taught sessions at the Manchester Metropolitan Universityone day per week, with the rest of your time spent on the job with 20% of your time dedicated to your studies.
Each module you study will match up to the business area within Fujitsu that you will be working in, ensuring you are receiving work-based learning that is relevant to your course.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Within Fujitsu, you will receive lots of support to allow you to perform to the best of your ability in your role with us. You will be line managed and will receive coaching and mentoring from employees within the business. You will also undertake the 24 month modular development programme alongside others within the junior talent community.
