At Play Sports Network, we are looking for a Junior Manual Software Testers to join us. We are striving for QA to become a stronger element in our Mobile and Web teams, and the Junior Tester will help us achieve this goal. It's a great environment for learning but also influencing the growth of the development teams. We are looking for someone with some experience of manual testing, to help us bring forward our Delivery and product quality. This is a great opportunity for someone to join our testing team and learn from experienced testers, but also put their knowledge and skills into practice.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
  • Ensure user needs are understood and user stories contain effective, actionable acceptance criteria
  • Assist with estimating implementation of new features
  • Take a risk-based approach to exploratory testing
  • Help teams verify across all levels of test
  • Ensure manual tests are organised and performed
  • Help shape QA processes alongside QA Manager


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • TDD / BDD methodology.
  • Ideally 1-2 years commercial experience in testing, although as an apprentice we are open to taking on someone with less commercial experience.
  • Practical knowledge of JIRA/Trello or equivalent.

Desired qualifications

• 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
