  • Promote the school by providing a welcoming, professional and efficient first point of contact
  • Build positive relationships with the community by providing outstanding customer service
  • Undertake general reception duties and ensure the reception area is kept clean, professional and welcoming and be responsible for the office equipment
  • Maintain signing in and out records for staff and visitors; greet people into entering school, direct them to their correct destinations and ensure visitors are provided with safeguarding protocols,check IDs and record DSB checks,
  • Manage the day to day financial and accounting processes including overseeing the raising of purchase orders, posting of invoices and maintenance of financial filing, managing the recording and distribution of goods receivedand follow up any discrepancies
  • Implement and monitor procedures for the safe collection, correct handling, recording and banking of cash or electronic banking (including the use of ParentPay)
  • Manage the month/year end processes and reconciliations
  • Provide general clerical/administrative support including general typing of correspondence and other documents as required, data entry, word-processing and other IT based tasksusing the school's MIS systems and communication systems
  • Update and maintain the school website
  • Maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems as required
  • Support the organisation of events, trips and meetings as required
  • Update and produce lists/information/data as required, including the school census e.g. student data
  • Check, maintain and collate pupil reports and records under the guidance of the headteacher
  • Maintain a safe environment through awareness and promotion of safeguarding and health and safety, plus ensuring all tasks are carried out with due regard to health and safety
  • Be willing to act as a mentor and role model for pupils
  • Be willing to participate in trips and visits and lunchtimes supervision as an associate member of staff
  • Manage and oversee school compliance and good practice for GDPR
  • Be prepared to provide First Aid support for pupils / staff / visitors (appropriate training will be provided)

Desired qualifications

  • 2 A-Levels or equivalent
  • GCSE in English and Maths at Grade C / 4 or above
