What will the apprentice be doing?
Quantity surveyors manage the costs and budget of construction and civil projects from the outset to completion. Therefore, you will ensure the costs of the project do not exceed the budget.
What will I be involved in?
• Managing the finances of a multi-million-pound project
• Working in the office and going out on site
• Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
• Helping to ensure the financial success of a project
• Becoming an expert in contracts, financial management and contract law
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Alongside working on one of our sites, you will attend Leeds College of Building on a block release basis (accommodation will be provided for you and travel expenses paid)
You will work towards a Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4) in Quantity Surveying.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon successful completion of the Level 4 programme, many of our Apprentices progress on to a Level 6 Apprenticeship, where they work towards their Degree.
You will also get the opportunity to gain a professional qualification with the Institution of Civil Engineers / Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors
