On 1st February 2021 the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals became part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust - a truly once-in a generation development. Together, we are taking our first steps towards our vision of creating a brand-new centre of excellence, which will be the global leader in the research into and treatment of heart and lung disease in patients from pre-birth to old age. We are developing some exciting plans and we want you to join us - so come and help to change the shape of healthcare for our heart and lung patients world-wide.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and committed individual to join our education team to provide clinical training and education for nursing staff within our cardiology wards. We are looking to appoint an experienced cardiology nurse who wants to develop themselves in a clinical educator/sister role to help make a difference to staff development & patient care.

The successful applicant will be required to work on the Acute Cardiac Care Unit and help both lead and support registered and unregistered staff. You must have experience in the management & caring for Level 1 & Level 2 patients within a ward setting.

Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are required to ensure supported clinical staff are enabled to deliver high quality, evidence based, compassionate care to our patients.

The role will require you to work with a team with varied skills and experience, promoting inter-professional learning. there will be an expectation to undertake management tasks, coordinate & participate in study days both locally & trust wide.

A desire to make a difference to improving the care of our patients and the ability to work autonomously and within a team are essential.
