"Working as a Senior Social Worker within the Adult and Autism Team is a unique opportunity to combine and use your management skills alongside complex case work. Whilst the work can be often be demanding, complex and sometimes challenging in equal measures, it is also enables your Social Work skills to be used to the full. Working with a diverse group of individuals, to promote their independence and advocate their decisions, views, and choices within their personal agreed outcomes. If you are looking for a social work job which provides variety, growth, and challenges then this may be the post for you."

We are a team of committed social care professionals working with those aged 18 plus with Autism or other needs that do not fall under the remit of other statutory teams. We provide a supportive team, with regular supervision and a concentration on further training and learning opportunities.

The basis of all our work is to support people to no longer need us! As such we focus on preventative strategies and upskilling, looking to support choice, control and positive risk taking.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced worker who can embrace change and support the driving forward of this service. You will need proven experience of managing high risk cases, working with partner organisations, supporting a learning culture and of working within the legislative framework of adult social care.

The team promote a strengths-based approach to our work and look to preventative methods to ensure that people are supported in a sustainable environment wherever possible. The role is based at Amundsen House, St Ives, but covers the county of Cambridgeshire. You can expect regular supervision and support within a small service, which is dedicated to improving the life chances of those we work alongside.
