This is a community nursing role covering a wide geographical area. You will possess extensive clinical skills, be able to work independently and autonomously escalating issues and concerns where appropriate.

NHS Professionals (NHSP), owned by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), works in partnership with hospital trusts to provide a bank of highly skilled temporary workers who want to work flexibly within the NHS.
Working through the NHSP bank means Trusts do not have to rely on expensive agencies. Right now, we have over 130,000 members registered on our bank from various roles, grades, and specialities, saving the NHS over£70 millioneach year. This money is then reinvested back into the NHS.

- Syringe Pumps
- PICC Lines
- Wound Care
- Dopplers and compression
- Venepuncture
- Catheters
- Injection
- Bowel Care
- Waterlow
- Must have access to a vehicle and be a car driver
Desirable Skills
- Specialist practitioner course and experience of working in the community.
- To work effectively individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- To be able to assess patients referred for care in order to develop a formulation of their problems
- To develop and maintain specialist knowledge of the Mental Health Act and the Mental Capacity Act
- To be responsible for the care of assigned patients and to manage, direct and evaluate their care in an effective manner
- To be able to communicate effectively with other professionals about issues relating to patients' care.
- To escalate as required, reporting any incidents/accidents, and ensuring they are recorded using the appropriate method
- Work closely with local authority colleagues
- Work collaboratively with other health care professionals and agencies ensuring a seamless delivery of services for patients
