St Luke's Hospice - Caring for Harrow and Brent St Luke's Hospice cares for people approaching the end of their life in Harrow and Brent. We receive around 40% of our funding from the NHS and the rest is raised from the amazing generosity of the organisations and people who make our care possible. Our local community is a vital partner in our care, kindly supporting us through their donations and fundraising alongside the dedication of over 800 incredible volunteers who freely give us their time to support the best possible end of life care for local people.

Then Bank Housekeeping Assistant post is for you!

We are looking to recruit 2 vacancies as Bank Housekeeping Assistant supporting our Inpatient Unit and Wellbeing Centre.

We have various bank shift available- covering mornings, afternoons and evenings.
  • You will work together in a small but very supportive team and your duties will entail:
  • To provide a clean, tidy and hygienic welcoming environment for patients, families, visitors and others. In conjunction with colleagues ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene according to policies and procedures that meet CGC and infection control standards.
  • To ensure the ward area in IPU and Woodgrange Centre are cleaned to meet infection prevention and control standards.
  • To work in the fully equipped laundry to ensure all linen used by patients, families and staff is fit for purpose and is fully stocked.
  • Maintain accurate cleaning schedules and records that encompass daily tasks and periodic cleaning, such as high dusting.
  • Deep clean patient and clinical rooms as required for the purposes of infection control, according to patient needs e.g. admission and discharge and room moves.
  • Ensure the conference and meeting room areas in Woodgrange Centre are clean, tidy and fit for purpose
