We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the North Bristol Academy team in a newly revised role.

This post has been created to provide administrative support for medical students undertaking clinical placements at North Bristol Trust, Southmead Hospital

You'll be working in partnership with the rest of the undergraduate medical education team to ensure that medical students receive all the required teaching and support as contracted by the University of Bristol. This includes organising timetables., room bookings, helping to set up teaching sessions and taking part in coordinating exams and assessments as required.

You will need a mix of admin skills, IT skills and communication skills to work in this busy environment. We will be providing plenty of opportunity to develop them all.

This is an Apprenticeship post for which the successful candidate will undertake a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship to support their training and ongoing role development.

The apprenticeship will be delivered via a blended delivery of online training, classroom teaching and supported development on the job over a period of 15 months before undertaking your End Point Assessment between months 15-18.

An apprenticeship consists of four main elements:
  • Initial assessment
  • On Programme learning & job specific training
  • Functional skills maths / English (if required)
  • End Point Assessment

As this is an educational & training position with funding provided from the apprenticeship levy, we will be unable to accept applications** from candidates who already hold qualifications in Business Administration* at Level 3 or above.

*this also includes qualifications which contain a similar subject matter and content to the apprenticeship standard which will be undertaken.

** NBT Apprenticeships are open to all applicants provided they meet the following eligibility for apprenticeship funding:
  • are legally allowed to work & reside in the UK
  • are over 16 years of age
  • not already qualified in a similar subject area at the same or higher level that the apprenticeship being applied for.
