The development of this new role in Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) signals a time of significant change and an appetite for a new and different approach, and we are looking for someone to join us as Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Apprentice!

You will share the provision of support to the staff in the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Team and Staff networks to ensure the smooth running of the department. The duties will include:
  • Supporting the EDI Business Administrator as a dedicated administrative resource for the staff networks in order to help realise aims and objectives.
  • Supporting Network members progressing and/or resolving issues or signposting to other avenues of support.
  • To respond to staff network emails and telephone queries.

You must have excellent customer service skills and must be proficient in developing effective working relationships with stakeholders, at all levels. As part of the role, you must work towards the completion of your Apprenticeship and undertake development opportunities, which will contribute towards your 20% off the job learning and is a requirement of your Apprenticeship.

You will be employed on a 24 month fixed term training contract of 37.5 hours per week. As this is an apprentice role:
  • You will be given time during your working hours for study towards the apprenticeship to attend training sessions on the underpinning knowledge of procedures and policies that impact on the role.
  • Training will be provided on site and virtually through direct teaching, observation, simulation and practical application.
