SmartTogether, is an award winning Procurement Shared Service hosted by Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and supports Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. We are a professional team of almost 200 providing the full range of procurement and supply chain management services.

We are looking for several apprentices who are passionate about procurement and want the challenge and exposure of working across multiple spend categories and across different NHS Trust organisations. If this best describes you this role is a fantastic opportunity for you to turn your degree into a post grad qualification in MCIPs with one of the largest NHS Trusts in the country.

We are offering successful applicants the opportunity to join a two year apprenticeship programme, undertaking the Commercial Procurement and Supply, level 4. Capita are the appointed training partner for the programme and the support package includes dedicated mentor support.

You will work as an integral part of the Sourcing team, with exposure to different spend categories and process improvement initiatives.

All successful applicants will have their own induction package as a way of ensuring that you are brought on board and become part of the team.

We plan to recruit in December 2021. We will need all successful applicants to be prepared to start in January 2022 for studying to commence in February 2022

If you are successful in this post you will be required to undertake a DBS check and references.

To do this you need to ensure you have the following documents in date:
  • Proof of ID such as valid passport or driving licence
  • 2 forms of proof of address (must be valid within the last 3 month)
  • References to cover you for the last 3 years (academic or professional)

Those wanting to apply must meet the minimum entry criteria:
  • Hold evidence of having achieved an A*-C or equivalent in Math and English
  • Not in any other form of education or self-studying
  • Must bel able to work full time, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm and committed to the Apprenticeship and training
