The Estates Department at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is looking to recruit a skilled Mechanical Craftsmen to undertake maintenance and new installations on a wide variety of mechanical services and equipment within the Trust's properties.

This is an excellent opportunity for those with a background in mechanical engineering to work in a diverse environment with opportunities for specialist training in healthcare engineering and career progression for motivated individuals.

The applicants must have completed a time served apprenticeship, be suitably qualified and self-motivated with good communication skills.

Applicants will also be required to provide evidence of delivery within a maintenance environment. Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not essential.

A full driving licence is essential and there will be a requirement to take part in rotating shift pattern (currently 1 late shift every 5 weeks) and on-call rota following a period of familiarisation.

This post receives an additional Recruitment and Retention Payment (RRP) added to the salary of £3277 per annum which is paid in 12 increments throughout the year.
