Southern Health is one of the largest Foundation Trusts in the UK, specialising in mental health, adult and child community health and learning disabilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated Band 6 physiotherapist to work in our Musculoskeletal (MSK) Outpatient Physiotherapy Service. The successful applicant will work as part of the musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Team which covers a number of locations within Southern Health NHS foundation trust. This role will be primarily based at Hythe & Dibden War Memorial Hospital and the successful applicant will become part of an experienced MSK team.

The outpatient MSK physiotherapy service works closely with specialists from Orthopaedic Choice as well as our Consultant Physiotherapist. We receive both GP and Consultant Physiotherapy referrals.

We are committed to continued professional development and promoting evidence-based practise and a high standard of care throughout the service. There is an extensive professional development programme in place for all staff. The successful candidate will have monthly supervisions with their team lead, participate in regular departmental in-service training, attend Band 6 and Trust-Wide Study days, have an opportunity to participate in the Orthopaedic Choice and Pain team apprenticeship scheme, and can mentor undergraduate students.

The newly formed ACE academy within Southern Health provides funding opportunities which enable staff to develop through post graduate external opportunities. The service also supports staff to work towards Masters level qualifications.

A DBS check is required by the Employer for this post. The Employer will undertake an initial check at the appropriate level on appointment. As a condition of employment you are required to register with the online DBS update service and maintain this registration throughout employment; costs associated with this will be reimbursed, subject to taxation in line with guidance from HMRC.
