The Role

Applications are invited for the position of Project Lead Routes into Nursing within Hertfordshire & West Essex NHS Integrated Care System (ICS). The post is an exciting opportunity to develop and drive future recruitment of student and entry routes in Nursing.

The post holder will have responsibility for supporting the implementation of the Nursing Associate and Registered Degree programmes as well as other small adhoc projects. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring there are robust mechanisms in place to implement and monitor workforce initiatives relating to student opportunities across Hertfordshire and West Essex, including opportunities for direct recruitment. The role will also have the responsibility for supporting the ICS in the delivery of the wider workforce strategy relating to pre-registration and apprenticeship training and development.

The post holder will be expected to support the Programme Manager for Nursing Transformation , local Practice Education Facilitators and HEI partners in developing the Nursing Associate and Registered Nurse Degree programme work with workforce programme leads and experts across the region and those involved in national project work related to the Pre-Registration programmes. The post holder will support the development of initiatives by working with health and social care partners responsible for workforce and education through the relevant ICS networks, e.g. the Pre-Registration Steering Group, Deputy Directors of Nursing Group and Education and Training Forums with the aim of ensuring integrated workforce planning for the Nursing Associate and Registered Nurse Degree pipeline.
