What will the apprentice be doing?

Working with the wider External Communications Team, the Communications Apprentice will have wider exposure to all sorts of media channels including stakeholder social media.

You'll support in maximising the Community Rail potential within the SWR area by co-ordinating activities and further enhancing the output of our Community Rail Partnerships and station groups via various communications channels.

You'll analyse and collect data and keep up to date on latest trends in communication.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

To support your development within the role, you will undertake the Level 4 Public Relations and Communications Assistant Apprenticeship Standard, this learning will provide you with the underpinning knowledge and skills to be successful as our Communications Apprentice.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

This apprenticeship will be an introduction to external stakeholder communications and community rail. You'll get an understanding of what it's like to work for the railway industry.
