What will the apprentice be doing?
Responsibilities will include:
Providing project and administrative support to the programme teams
Collating and completing relevant reports
Providing procurement support to set up and manage contracts, liaising with contractors/consultants
Providing financial management of projects, planning and profiling budget spend, tracking and reporting of financial position
Maintaining Programme records and document management
Updating Programme logs (risks, Issues, change, benefits realisation)
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You'll be completing a Level 4 Apprenticeships (equivalent to an HNC) and will develop the knowledge skills and behaviours to work effectively as a Project Manager. On successful completion of the apprenticeship you will also obtain a Association of Project Management qualification and be able to register as an associate member of the project management profession.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
As a Project Management Apprentice in Natural England you will be supporting the daily management, maintenance, conservation and protection of the natural environment and will inspire people about the natural environment and encourage them to engage with their local green spaces
We cannot guarantee a permanent role on completion of this apprenticeship but we are part of Defra Group and we will support you as much as we can to obtain a suitable permanent role.
