Registered Nurse Degree Apprentice - Band 5

37.5 Hours per Week, 2 year fixed term contract

We work with a wide range of partner organisations to deliver care and support people in their own homes and from a number of hospitals and community bases. We focus on delivering care as close to home as possible.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for Nursing Associates or Assistant Practitioners to train on a top up route to become a Registered Nurse (Adult) with Wiltshire Health and Care LLP. This is role, which the organisation is investment in significantly to enable and the role to become an integral part of the healthcare team.

With main base posts available, in a variety of areas across Wiltshire, this is an excellent opportunity to train as you earn, studying for an apprenticeship.

You will be expected to attend University for 20% of your training which will be via virtual learning whilst Covid measures are in place, with a number of different placements within Wiltshire Health and Care and at other external sites incorporating different specialities for 40% of your training with the remaining 40% within your main base.

You will be supported to learn on the job by the healthcare team and the University.

We are proud of our staff and support career progression so if you successfully complete the 4-year training course, and become registered, you will be offered a permanent job as a Registered Nurse.

Successful candidates must already have a Foundation Degree in Healthcare or Health & Social Care with experience working as a Registered Nursing Associate or Assistant Practitioner. In addition the care certificate and Level 2 or GCSE grade A-C / 5-9 in English and Math's are essential. Training will commence in February 2022.

All new starters with Wiltshire Health and Care are subject to a six month probationary period, which runs alongside the induction process to help create a positive and supportive working environment which allows new staff to learn the key elements of the role.
