GTA Resources provide Finance and Administrative support to the wholesale and retail market, working in tandem with their sister business Ideal Products Ltd.

Vacancy Description:

The successful candidate will be fully supported by QA Apprenticeships, whilst working towards completing a level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship BCS accredited qualification.

We’re looking for a well-rounded and driven apprentice who will be given the opportunity to work towards taking on a leading role in the organisation’s future marketing operation.

In addition to the digital marketing requirements of the role, at times, the candidate will also be customer-facing either over the phone or face to face. The ideal candidate will therefore need to be a real team player, happy to work flexibly to get the job done whilst supporting a range of business areas and colleagues as and when needed. They will need to be confident, outgoing, digitally savvy, and passionate about turning their interest/hobby for social media into a career.


  • Plan & create marketing posts to upload on social media platforms i.e. Facebook and Twitter
  • Opportunity to own smaller marketing projects to assist with sales
  • Plan and create email marketing campaigns for MailChimp
  • Design, produce and deliver engaging, interesting, and useful content for our target audiences with the purpose of increasing their engagement with services
  • Planning and posting content including graphics and videos to promote the business on digital and social platforms
  • Developing social media platforms and website tools with set goals to increase brand awareness and increase engagement
  • Managing all social media channels and posting regularly, as well as analysing responses and interactions
  • Photo new products, edit and upload to various platforms
  • Processing and maintenance of listings on platforms to include eBay & Amazon,  including  listings & handling customer queries
  • Managing the company website, ensuring product info Is fully updated
  • Design & create marketing materials on PowerPoint for clients
  • Reception duties/answer incoming calls when required
  • Provide general administrative support to the office team, help to cover the phones on occasion and to support colleagues with their work when needed.
  • Scope to interact and work with colleagues from different parts of the business and different parts of the wider company

 Desirable Skills: 

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills which must include Excel/Google Sheets, Word, and PowerPoint 
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels 
  • Flexible attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team & independently 
  • Self-motivated 
  • Strong organisation, communication, and presentation skills 
  • Impeccable attention to detail 
  • Creative with new ideas and techniques 

Entry requirements:

You need to have 5 GCSE’s

  • Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades D or above
  • 3x GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject

You must not already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level, or higher level than this apprenticeship.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications. Find out more here.

Working week:

5 days per week
Monday – Friday

8.30 am - 5 pm
40 hrs per week [all details will be confirmed with the employer]


You will be paid £200 per week whilst in your apprenticeship.

Future prospects:

A permanent opportunity will be considered at the employer's discretion after successfully completing the Digital Marketing SCQF Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship.
