What will the apprentice be doing?
You will undertake your apprenticeship as part of a team that protects Anglo American's Operational Technology and data from cyber threats.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Develop a sound knowledge of cyber security tools.
- Learn how to identify and protect against cyber threats.
- Work alongside cyber security professionals from around the world to develop your practical skills, alongside your studies to gain a Level 4 qualification.
- Provide support, advice and guidance on cyber security.
As an apprentice, you will study for a nationally recognised qualification (Level 4 Diploma) as you gain hands on experience with the latest security technologies available in industry to prepare you for a career in the Cyber Security sector.
The Cyber Security Apprenticeship Programme will be based at our Scarborough office and there will be a requirement to come to the office daily.What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon successful completion of this apprenticeship the candidate may be considered for full time employment, though this is not guaranteed. However, the experience and training will be a great foundation for a rewarding career in cyber security.

Applicants need to be 18 or over by Sept 2022. Applicants cannot hold any other Level 4 (or above) qualifications in the cyber discipline, as this makes potential apprentices ineligible. Daily travel to the Scarborough office is required.
