Salary is dependant on NHS experience and current banding/pay point, applicants from outside the NHS will receive the start point of the salary scale in line with NHS terms & conditions.

Hollybank (Children's short breaks) Male Support Worker Band 3

£24,228 - £25,675 per annum inc HCAS

Hollybank Apprenticeship pathway available for those without a qualification. This leads to a Diploma in Residential Childcare.

This is an opportunity for MALE ONLY SUPPORT WORKER to join Bromley Healthcare as a Healthcare Assistant at our Children's respite centre.

We are specifically looking for Males for this role as the successful applicant will be providing personal care to male children and Young People as well as the usual requirements such as experience of managing challenging behaviour from this age group. Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational qualification for this role in accordance with the Para 1 Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.

This work will be based predominantly at the Hollybank Respite Centre , based in Orpington.

The role will involve supporting and undertaking simple assessments as well as meeting the needs of children with complex health conditions within a variety of environments.

The post holder has the opportunity to develop skills for working with children, their parents other professionals.

We are looking for candidates who have experience working within either Children's Homes, or providing healthcare for children.
