What will the apprentice be doing?
Our sports coaches deliver football after school and lunchtime sessions, Saturday morning sessions, holiday camps, multi-sports lunchtime clubs, PPA sports lessons and PE days at schools. We would give our apprentice the opportunity to lead on sessions wherever they feel ready and we give them full support. We have a friendly and professional team at The Skills Academy and most of our delivery is in the Orpington, Bromley and Sevenoaks areas.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The training will consist of online training, webinars, classroom sessions and workplace visits from the tutor.
On completion you will achieve a level 4 sports coach qualification
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
There is the potential for the candidate to receive more working hours but also an increase in their wage. At the end of the apprenticeship, wages can rise considerably if the coach is suitable to deliver PE lessons in schools.
